Latin Energy Dance Company is proud to have a very talented team of dancers / performers.
Latin Energy dancers have performed at many private functions and other large events such as CNE International Stage, Bermuda Mambo Nights, Canada Salsa Congress, Multicultural Festival (Michigan), Winter Salsa Carnival; Street Festivals such as "The Burlington Sound of Music" & "Salsa on St. Clair"; other big corporate events such as Sick Kids Foundation Gala, American Express, at the GILBERTO SANTA ROSA salsa concert and much more.
The number of dancers in our team increase slightly every year as we find talent potential in young kids, teenagers and adults. For us, quality of dancing is much more important than quantity.

Jenalyn, ( 9 years old) & Raymond (12) are brother & sister and they love to perform & compete! They have been training with Latin Energy since 2005.
At their very young age, they have already won FIRST PLACE in 8 dance competitions!
Jenalyn started dance lessons at the early age of 3, taking a year of introductory classes on ballet, tap, hip-hop and jazz. She started Salsa lessons with Latin Energy in the Fall of 2005 when she was 4 years old along with her brother who was 7 years old at the time.
Raymond, (currently 12 years old) started dance lessons at the age of 4 when he took about a year each of Jazz, Acro, Hip-Hop & Break dancing. His love of performing comes from 4 years of stage experience in the dramatic arts and
performing in various local festivals on the violin and piano.

Mary-Anne has received private dance training in Latin and Ballroom dancing (Waltz, foxtrot, tango, cha cha, swing, rumba as well as salsa, bachata and merengue). She has also taken lessons in ballet, tap and jazz. She describes herself as “addicted to salsa”. Although she enjoys her private dance training in salsa, she loves the passion and diversity of salsa found in the club scene. She's always trying to experiment with new steps and variations.
Caroline's passion is dance. She began her love affair with dance at the age of 3 and has been dancing ever since. She has trained in numerous styles including hip hop, street jazz, broadway jazz, lyrical, step, tap, ballet, break dance...and now salsa. "Dance is my drug...I can't imagine life without it!" Caroline has been dancing professionally in hip hop and street jazz since 2000. Her cousin introduced her to salsa in 2005 and she was addicted the second she felt the music. She loves to perform and can't wait to burn up the dance floor with her new sizzling salsa moves!
Raghida did gymnastics as a kid but did not start dancing until she graduated from University. With more time to explore new hobbies, she started taking Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop and Belly Dancing lessons. A friend approached her in 2003 to take Salsa classes with him and she was hooked after the first lesson. Over the years she took lessons and did performance groups with various companies across Toronto . She also went on a Bermuda Salsa cruise in 2005 where she met Vanesa. She watched Vanesa's various dancers perform over time and is very happy to finally be part of the Latin Energy Dance Team.
Amanda started her salsa training in 2005. She also has training in Brazilian samba & hip hop. She loves to dance and perform as it allows her to express her emotions through art of performance. Dancing brings Amanda true happiness.
Vanessa fell in love with Latin dancing in 2008. It was spending the night at a local salsa nightclub and looking on with envy at the salseros/as dancing the night away that sparked her interest. Not long after this experience she started taking lessons with Latin Energy and quickly became addicted. She continued to feed her passion and further develop as a dancer by attending workshops and salsa congresses across the country. After a year of training in salsa and frequent social dancing, Vanessa decided to expand her horizons as a dancer by adding performer to her repertoire and is excited to be a part of the Latin Energy performance team. .
Samantha began dancing at an early age of three. She has competed successfully at competitions all across Ontario and the USA. She's been training in various disciplines of dance such as ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, latin and ballroom. Just recently, she has competed in Germany for a World Tap Dance competition and came home as a World Champion.
Samantha has performed at Disney World, Toronto Urban Music Festival, the premiere screening of the movie, "How She Move", and has done a music video for an upcoming artist.Her goal is to achieve the highest level of performance in the industry.
ADULT DANCE TEAM - The Guys:
Dan was a Club DJ for many years and always had an affinity for Latin House music. In 2005, he was dragged out to a Salsa club for the first time. He reluctantly took his first salsa lesson which quickly led to performing in several Intermediate and Advanced Student groups over the years. Dan met Vanesa of Latin Energy on the Bermuda Salsa Cruise in 2005. After having Vanesa choreograph a Tango/Salsa routine for his Wedding in 2008, he jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the Latin Energy Dance Team.
Michel fell in love with salsa after retiring from pro football in France. This art opened his eyes to a new world and a new challenge in his life. He has been training for almost 2 years. He enjoys to perform since he feels as though he enters a double zone and he also loves the adrenaline rush!
Rony fell in love with dancing when he started Ceroc (Modern Jive) in New Zealand in 2004 where he went on to win National level championships. After moving to Canada , he started his salsa training in 2007. Rony's training also includes West Coast Swing and folk dance “Bhangra” from his homeland Punjab . Rony loves the passion & energy of Salsa and he aims to excel as member of Latin Energy performance team.
Rob started dancing salsa in 1994. He loves to entertain people as it is part of his character. He also has a dance background in break dance and other folk dances. Rob won first place his first "Jack & Jill" salsa dance competition in Aug. 2009!
Michael was introduced to Salsa by a friend in 2008 and was immediately hooked. He has been taking dance lessons steadily since then and discovered Latin Energy in summer of 2009. He is thrilled to now be part of the Latin Energy Dance Team and to be learning and working with such a talented group. He’s looking forward to learning and growing with the team!
